It’s almost impossible to measure the full extent of influence that Los Angeles gang culture has had on the world. But for one 16-year-old in the 1980s, that influence was life-changing. Michael Asberry saw first hand the power asserted by LA gangs and he decided to bring that same force to his own neighborhood. But what he didn’t know, was the deep and violent toll that it would take on him and everyone around him.
