In 2013, alleged gang leader Todd Ashker, was sitting in a windowless prison cell in solitary confinement – and he had been there for 25 years. Living in conditions he described as torturous and inhumane. But after deciding enough was enough, he and three other prison leaders from all different gangs, did something that had never been done before. They formed an alliance – and together they organized the biggest prison strike in American history.
