Skid Row in Los Angeles, California is one of the largest and most dangerous homeless encampments in the country and it’s one of the places where Khadijah Williams grew up. Homeless from the age of 6 years old, she slept in shelters, abandoned homes and sometimes right on the street. But Khadijah was determined to make a better life for herself. She had to make a better life for herself, it was the only way she would survive.
