In 1991, Tony Young looked like a regular business man. You would never have believed that he was a leader of the Wah Ching, one of the biggest Asian gangs in Southern California. But that’s exactly who the government said he was. From the 1970s through to the 1990s Tony Young was said to be involved in everything from illegal gambling to murder. Though he never publicly admitted to being a leader of the Wah Ching, his name is tied to much of the violence that spread throughout Chinatown in the 80’s and 90’s, and that same type of violence is what would get him in the end.
